The facial wash contains grapefruit and vitamin c. This is meant to brighten the skin and give a more radiant complexion. I have used the product for over 4 weeks and below are my thoughts.

Things I like:
-Smells really nice. Mild fruity fragrance
-A slight improvement to complexion
-Was gentle to the skin
-Spreads and washes off easily
-Decent make-up remover

Not so good:
-Caused dry skin around mouth area
-Texture a little ‘runny’ for my liking
-Didn’t get rid of blemishes
-Pricey. £5.25 for only 200ml

Overall a decent face wash. However there are better alternatives.

I bought the XXXL (700ml) from Superdrug. It retailed at £2.47. You get a lot for what you pay for!

Has a ‘perfumey’ smell which I wasn’t too keen on.

I would describe the texture as white creamy lotion.

Massages onto hair nicely and washes off easily.

Pros:
-Smoothens hair
-Gives shine
-Good for oily hair
-Good price

Cons:
-Some bad ingredients
-Caused dandruff
-Decreased the volume in my hair

Wishful Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub

* Very light in texture
* Has a mild zesty smell to it
* Lightweight but effective grit

The scrub comes in 40ml and 100ml.
I purchased the 100ml for £34 from Boots.

Massages onto the skin nicely and washes off easily. However it is important to moisturise the skin afterwards. Otherwise can feel a little dry.

Pros:
-Brightens the skin & gives natural glow
-Evens out skin tone & gives uniform look
-Cleans skin really well
-Tightens skin

Cons:
-Marketed as a scrub. Actually its a peel
-Can be too exfoliating for some users
-A bit pricey (£34 for 100ml)
-Will not suit those with sensitive skin

The texture is medium to runny. The colour is charcoal grey, however when applying to face it turns into a white soapy foam.

Very easy to apply and washes off effortlessly. Preps the skin nicely for moisturiser to be applied. Skin feels clean and soft.

Pros:
-Kaolin & Charcoal give a deep clean
-Blackheads are slightly reduced
-Really effective for oily, combination skin
-Removes excess oil and shine
-Doesn’t dry or strip skin

Cons:
-Has too many chemicals, namely sulfate
-A bit pricey (you only get 150ml)
-Some users have reported irritation & breakouts
-Doesn’t improve skin complexion
-May not be suitable for sensitive skin

I have been using this product now for over a month. I have hyperpigmentation and a few blemishes on my face. I was looking for something to make my skin more uniform and brighten my complexion.

•Retail price is £47. You get the following:
•Serum (30ml)
•Moisturiser (30ml)

First you apply the serum and wait couple of minutes. Then apply the moisturiser.

Pros:

•Ingredients are plant based and do not contain hydroquinone or other harsh chemicals.

•Smell is gentle and pleasant, and not overpowering. Artificials have not been used.

•Helped with hyperpigmentation and made skin tone more uniform. Blemishes and marks appeared less visible.

Cons:

•Very pricey. You only get 30ml that lasts around 6 weeks.

•Texture of moisturising cream very thick. Does not spread nicely. Will not suit those with dry skin as it doesn’t moisturiser skin well enough.

•Leaves a slight ‘cakey’ white look on the skin. Was hoping for a more ‘natural’ look.

Some of the skincare claims range from bizarre to totally outrageous. Here we look at the top 6 and give you the heads up so you know better.

•Expensive products give better results.
Unfortunately this is not true. Many brands spend a lot of money on the marketing trying to get you to believe this is true. Look at active ingredients rather than just the price tag and packaging.

•You don’t need to moisturise oily skin.
In actual fact you do. Oily skin produces more of what is known as sebum. However, this alone is not enough to provide good deep hydration.

•Exfoliating more often is better for skin.
Over exfoliation can cause the natural oil to be stripped. This leads to skin becoming dry, cracked and more prone to breakouts. You should only exfoliate 2 to 3 times a week.

•Organic products are always better.
Many brands only use a small insignificant amount and pass this off as ‘organic product’. Make sure to always read full list of ingredients. Avoid anything with excessive artificials and parabens.

•You don’t need to wear sunscreen on a cloudy day.
This could’t be further from the truth. In fact you need to wear sunscreen every day. Even on a cloudy day. The uv rays of the sun are one of the most common causes of premature ageing.

•Shampooing your hair every day is good.
It’s not. If you do this every day it will definitely lead to hair fall and cause hair to become dry and dull. You should only be shampooing 2 to 3 weeks.

I’ve been using this Face Mask for over a month now. Price-wise very good. However cannot say it’s one of the better products I’ve used.

Tube comes in 200ml. Can be purchased from retailers such as Holland & Barretts or Amazon. Retails at around £5.99.

Used for marks and blemished skin. Includes ingredients such as turmeric, papaya, liquorice & goji extract.

Pros:
- Affordable & you get alot of cream!
- Lathers up effortlessly
- Washes off pretty easily
- Gives slight firmness & tightness to skin
- Doesn’t cause irritation

Cons:
- Dried out my skin
- Didn’t brighten or nourish skin
- Didn’t really get rid of blemishes or marks
- Kaolin clay not as effective at pulling out impurities
- Artificial perfume too strong & not nice
- Will not suit those with dry skin

Overall the turmeric & papaya face mask has performed poorly. May use product again once in a while. However will not be repurchasing.
