Top 6 Skincare Myths Debunked . Some of the skinc Top 6 Skincare Myths Debunked
.
Some of the skincare claims range from bizarre to totally outrageous. Here we look at the top 6 and give you the heads up so you know better.
•Expensive products give better results.
Unfortunately this is not true. Many brands spend a lot of money on the marketing trying to get you to believe this is true. Look at active ingredients rather than just the price tag and packaging.
•You don’t need to moisturise oily skin.
In actual fact you do. Oily skin produces more of what is known as sebum. However, this alone is not enough to provide good deep hydration.
•Exfoliating more often is better for skin.
Over exfoliation can cause the natural oil to be stripped. This leads to skin becoming dry, cracked and more prone to breakouts. You should only exfoliate 2 to 3 times a week.
•Organic products are always better.
Many brands only use a small insignificant amount and pass this off as ‘organic product’. Make sure to always read full list of ingredients. Avoid anything with excessive artificials and parabens.
•You don’t need to wear sunscreen on a cloudy day.
This could’t be further from the truth. In fact you need to wear sunscreen every day. Even on a cloudy day. The uv rays of the sun are one of the most common causes of premature ageing.
•Shampooing your hair every day is good.
It’s not. If you do this every day it will definitely lead to hair fall and cause hair to become dry and dull. You should only be shampooing 2 to 3 weeks.

Ayumi Naturals - Turmeric & Papaya Face Mask Revie Ayumi Naturals - Turmeric & Papaya Face Mask Review
.
I’ve been using this Face Mask for over a month now. Price-wise very good. However cannot say it’s one of the better products I’ve used.
Tube comes in 200ml. Can be purchased from retailers such as Holland & Barretts or Amazon. Retails at around £5.99.
Used for marks and blemished skin. Includes ingredients such as turmeric, papaya, liquorice & goji extract.
Pros:
- Affordable & you get alot of cream!
- Lathers up effortlessly
- Washes off pretty easily
- Gives slight firmness & tightness to skin
- Doesn’t cause irritation
Cons:
- Dried out my skin
- Didn’t brighten or nourish skin
- Didn’t really get rid of blemishes or marks
- Kaolin clay not as effective at pulling out impurities
- Artificial perfume too strong & not nice
- Will not suit those with dry skin
Overall the turmeric & papaya face mask has performed poorly. May use product again once in a while. However will not be repurchasing.

.
Reasonably priced.
Smells amazing.
Doesn’t dry out my skin.
Really brightens my skin complexion.
.
Couple of downsides though...
Those with dry skin may find the exfoliation a bit mild.
Didn’t unclog & clean pores well enough.

Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser Review . Having Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser Review
.
Having a good cleanser is a must when it comes to any skincare regime. So how does the Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser compare to some of the other cleansers in the market?
- It has a pleasant cold minty fragrance that is kind to the senses and not overpowering.
- With regular use I did notice my pores became really clean.
- Really good for those with oily skin or those with greasy t-zone oil.
- The charcoal works to clean the skin at a deeper level. You instantly feel this as you get a tingly sensation as soon as you lather up.
- Doesn’t brighten skin tone.
- Those with senstive skin may experience breakouts.
- Doesn’t have microbeads. As this ingredient is known to slough off dead skin.

Basic Skincare Routine: Make Skin Look Good . With Basic Skincare Routine: Make Skin Look Good
.
With competing priorities, where do you get the time to really look after your skin? Follow this simple routine and watch your skin improve.
.
Cleanser: Using a cleanser everyday is a must as it helps keep skin clean. By neglecting this you risk inviting a whole host of skin problems such as clogged pores and acne. It is also important to choose a cleanser that is suited to your particular skin type or condition.
.
Eye Cream: Skin around the eyes is very delicate and prone to premature ageing. Therefore it is important to use a good eye cream to combat this. Look for eye creams containing ingredients such as vitamin k. Vitamin k improves the appearance of broken capillaries thus reducing dark under eye circles.
.
Moisturiser: Moisturising daily with the right product ensures skin is hydrated and stays healthy. Try going for one that has spf. That way you won’t need to buy an additional sunscreen.
.
On top of the above, try to incorporate a face scrub and face mask into your skincare routine. You will see a huge difference to both the appearance and health of your skin.

How to Reduce Pore Size on Your Face? Large pores How to Reduce Pore Size on Your Face?
Large pores on your face can be an invitation for dirt and bacteria to build up. There are ways you can reduce them.
Correct Products: Buy cleansers and moisturisers that are suited to your skin type. Wrong products can cause excess production of oil or make skin greasy.
Remove Make-up: Always make sure to remove make-up before going to sleep. Sleep time is when the skin works to repair itself. With make-up on it can’t do that.
Exfoliate: Introduce a good face scrub to your weekly skin care regime. Face scrub will clean the skin at a more deeper level compared to only using a cleanser.
Facial Steamer: Really good way to unblock pores so that other products such as cleansers can go in and remove dirt and bacteria.
Toner: Works really well to minimise pore size and helps prep the skin for other products to be layered. You could also rub cold ice cubes just before to add further effect.

Sunburns: Applying aloe vera gel on sunburns heals the skin and reduces the peeling effect.
Acne: At night apply raw aloe vera gel on your face and leave overnight. In the morning wash off. Doing this regularly will reduce acne.
Complexion: Aloe vera contains skin lightening properties and is very good for tackling hyperpigmentation.
Tightens the skin: Aloe vera works as a natural moisturiser and contains malic acid. It helps reduce pore size and tightens the skin.
